Ignacio Bilbao is a more than 20 years experienced lawyer and economist in real estate and retail fields, holding top management roles and positions in the legal, expansion development and asset management areas, in multinational companies such as Batipart Immobilier – ELAIA investment Spain SOCIMI, IKEA Group in its real estate shopping centres division (Inter-IKEA/IKEA Centres/Ingka Centres), Jardiland-Verdecora (linked to AF Group Mulliez-Auchan group owner of retail chains as Alcampo, Leroy Merlin, Decathlon, Norauto, Kiabi, Bricomart, Boulanger, Pimkie, etc.), holding positions as Head of Legal, Secretary of the Board, Board member and member of the General Management Committees. He also held positions (Chairman, Secretary, spokesperson) in Compliance Committees of such companies and in urban planning entities participated by the Groups he worked in. He has worked also as an external lawyer and was co-founder of BILBAO RUIZ y ASOCIADOS, legal firm specialized in real estate and urban planning, and also has been director and manager of several companies of energy and services sectors.


He has international experience in complex pan-European projects involving different jurisdictions, developing projects mainly in Spain and Portugal.


He is specialized in real estate, urban planning, company and corporate law, and general counseling of companies.


Graduate in Law, Juridic-Economic speciality from the University of Deusto, having studied one year at the University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne. Diploma in Urban Planning Law from the Bar of Madrid.


Member of the Bar of Madrid since 2002.
